I’ve been soo busy lately that I’ve been neglecting my personal photography so, as it’s my birthday today I had a day off from everything. (Don’t worry – I’ll be back on the case tomorrow.) My husband treated me to a tour of the Cotswolds, just the two of us, lazing around, enjoying the scenery, food and some art too – and plenty of time for me to take photographs – my ideal day out. We were blessed with perfect weather so I’ve come back with a card full of images. Here are a few of my favourites.
We started the morning at the Lavender Farm at Snowshill – beautiful and peaceful – the noisest things were the bees, and there were lots of those.
Then we headed to Quenington, spotting a gorgeous poppy field on the way.
Quenington’s a classic Cotswold village south of Cirencester, worth visiting just for that, but we went there for the Fresh Air 2011 sculpture exhibition in the Rectory gardens. Lots of inspiration from the sculptures and the gardens themselves (the beautiful circular garden room has made it into my house scrapbook)
We rounded the day off with a late lunch at The Village Pub in Barnsley (the Gloucestershire one!)
Beautiful Linda. Love the really personal feel of your blog – I need to learn from you and do more of this myself! R
Thanks Richard :-)
