If you follow me on Facebook, you’ll have seen a pic of the lovely Alfie a few weeks ago and I promised you some more pics so, finally, here they are. Alfie’s Mum and Dad wanted some photographs of him to celebrate his first birthday. We did two sessions as it wouldn’t stop raining on the first one so I popped back for half an hour another day to do some outdoor pics too. As you’ll see, I love your images to tell the story of your baby in a way that photos in a studio can’t. By not asking for smiles, but doing things that you all love to do, your baby photos will show lots of your child’s natural expressions that you’ll want to remember when they’re grown up.
I encourage parents to think about all the activities they love doing with their baby so we can incorporate as many as possible into the photo shoot so the finished set of images will remind them of all the fun they used to have when their baby is grown up – and it’s a great memory jogger for your baby too. Alfie loves being read to so we got his favourite book out on the lawn. It was wonderful seeing his happy expressions as he anticipated what was coming next.
He loves his musical instruments so while he was concentrating on playing on those I had lots of opportunities to capture detail shots too.
We ended with the ideal shot to finish Alfie’s baby album – him walking off into toddlerhood.
Thanks to Alfie’s mum and dad for allowing me to share these with you. If you’d like me to capture the story of your baby’s life, get in touch.
