I’ve had the pleasure of taking photographs at Compton Verney many times, but this evening was a real treat as I got to go to the In Light event with my family and take photographs just for us!  We love a good arty light show, especially when it’s on our doorstep. And as we voted for Compton Verney to get this installation as part of the Museums at Night initiative back in May, we thought we better support it.

These are my highlights from the evening.

Here’s my favourite cedar tree lit up and the pretty individual lanterns made by children and families. Compton Verney In Light | Linda Scannell

My children’s favourite part was the fluorescent rice by Aowen Jin (official title “The Ritual”).

I loved the lights and patterns projected on the buildings, particularly on the main house and the Capability Brown landscape, because we has the opportunity to play with those ourselves
