iPhone on tripod ready to playback videoIf you need video to promote your business but you haven’t got the budget to get a professional videographer in, or perhaps you want to create regular video blogs but you don’t know where to start, then I could have the answer for you.

If you own an iPhone 4 or better, you’ve got a good quality video camera in your pocket or handbag which will allow you to create your own videos.  They’re probably not going to be quite up to the standard of a professional video but they’re more than good enough to get you started with promoting your business on the web.  And when you do get to the point that you can afford a professional film,  you’ll have a much better idea of what you want to do so you’ll be able to make the most of your budget.

There’s lots of information online about how to create your own videos but it can be time-consuming working through it all, so I’ve written a 3 hour workshop to get you up and running creating your own videos and uploading them to YouTube.  We’ll cover

  • Tips and hints on getting the best from your iPhone’s camera
  • Ideas for lighting and composition to show you at your best
  • How to edit your film
  • How to share your film

The next available date is Tuesday 15th October 2013 from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the lovely Hill Close Gardens Cafe in Warwick.  I’m keeping the numbers of participants to a maximum of 6 so you’ll get plenty of attention. Half the places have gone already so if you want to come along, book in now via Eventbrite, or give me a call. All you need to bring with you on the day is your iPhone.

And if you want to see a very simple example of a video created with an iPhone 4, here’s my “How I got into photography” video, which was all filmed, edited and uploaded to YouTube using just my iPhone.  But you don’t have to keep it this simple – you can edit several clips together, incorporate still pictures, add a sound track and so on.  We’ll cover that on the course.  And if you can’t make 15th October, do get in touch so I can put you on the waiting list for the next workshop.
