Getting started with your digital camera
A beginners’ photography course
Aimed at: Anyone who’s just got a new digital camera and doesn’t know where to start, or who’s had their camera for a while but is frustrated with the photos they’re taking. It’s suitable for those wanting to take photos for business or pleasure.
Pre-requisites: None – just bring your digital camera. It can be a simple point-and-shoot, a bridge camera or digital SLR.
Length: 3 hours
What we cover
- Saying goodbye to Auto mode and finding the best settings for the photo styles you love
- Choosing how much of your photo is in focus
- Tips and techniques for avoiding blurry photos
- How to use composition and colour to give your photos that wow factor
- Looking after your photos
This course is suitable for ages 10 years and over, but if you’re under 16 you’ll need to bring a parent or guardian with you.

Pure Offices is on the outskirts of Warwick, just a few minutes away from Junction 15 of the M40.
There’s plenty of free parking available on site.
