A great end to a fabulous weekend – I’ve just found out that all three of my entries in this month’s Guild of Photographers competition have won Bronze Awards. That makes 7 Bronzes in the five months that I’ve entered the competition – not bad going though I say so myself.
It’s always a challenge entering photography competitions because different organisations look for different things. What I’m really pleased about this month is that I’m obviously getting the hang of what the Guild are looking for. It helps that you get feedback on your images, something that doesn’t always happen. So if you’re a professional photographer reading this and you’re not already a Guild member, I’d highly recommend them – not just for their monthly competition but also for the extremely friendly and useful members’ Facebook groups.
Fingers crossed for next month now.
And one other thing I’ve learnt: pets named Buster are good luck charms for me as that’s what both these handsome boys are called :-) So if you have a pet called Buster do get in touch to book a photo shoot. But I’m happy to photograph pets with other names too ;-)
Hi Linda, congratulations on the awards! ☺️ Indeed the photographs are beautiful!!!

Well done! Lovely pictures. Neither of cats is called Buster.
Thanks Judy. No problem – I photograph cats who aren’t called Buster too :-)
