Today was finally Warwick’s turn to host the Olympic Torch Relay and we decided to watch it from the grounds of Warwick Castle.  The rain held off and we had a great time.  Here are my favourites:

St Mary's Church Warwick, the bird of prey display at Warwick Castle, and some union jack bunting

We watched the falconry display while we were waiting, and then one of the resident peacocks decided to try the torch route out for size.

Georgina Harland carried the torch into the castle.

My daughter captured this one of the flame being transferred from one torch to the next.  (The advantage of being 7 is that they let you stand at the front so she got a great view and did me proud with this cracking shot.)

If you’re wondering what the last picture is, we rounded the afternoon off with a bit of rat tossing in the castle courtyard like you do.
