When you’re a photographer you get the privilege of sharing key moments in people’s lives, whether it’s getting married, recording the wonderful details of their newborn baby, or celebrating a significant birthday with family and friends. A couple of weeks ago I got to do a photoshoot that celebrated something slightly different but no less life-changing – Tracy’s amazing weightloss.
This time last year, Tracy was 8 stone heavier, but with some help from Amber Threapleton at LighterLife, she has a great figure and now fits easily into a size 12. Amber arranged for me to do a photoshoot for Tracy after a personal shopping experience with Anna at Gemini, a great women’s clothing shop in Stratford-upon-Avon. I got to record that too, though I have to say, it was quite distracting being surrounded by all those lovely clothes and not having chance to try them on (I’ll be heading back to Gemini without my camera soon!).
Tracy was a real star. It was lovely to watch her realise that she can fit easily into smaller clothes now and that bright colours suit her. After a couple of hours of retail therapy, Tracy picked her favourite outfit and we headed off to a spot near the river to do some modelling shots. She was a natural. I’d like to say a big thank you to Amber, Tracy and Anna for a fun morning. You can read more about Tracy’s story in June’s issue of Focus magazine – you’ll find it with this week’s Stratford Herald or in some of the shops in Stratford-upon-Avon. In the meantime, here are some of my favourite shots from the session.
