Product photography for bloggers and small businesses

Aimed at: Bloggers, business people and craft workers who need to take their own photos of the products they create or review

Level: Beginner

Pre-requisites: None – just bring your point-and-shoot, bridge or DSLR camera, as well as a small product you’d like to photograph on the day

Length: 3 hours

Do you write a blog but struggle to create photos to illustrate your posts? Or do you create craft items to sell on eBay or Etsy or your own website but you can’t yet afford professional photography to show your products at their best? Perhaps you make bespoke items that you want to photograph before passing them on to your clients, like cakes or jewellery or clothing.

This half day course covers:

  • Familiarising yourself with your camera’s controls
  • Understanding the effect the different camera settings can have on your photos
  • Ideas for lighting, composition and the use of colour to show your products off perfectly
  • Looking after your photos and sizing them for the web

Next date:TBA

If you want to get on the waiting list for the next course or if you’d like me to run this as an in house workshop for you and your staff give me a call or drop me an email.
