When my alarm went off at 3am this morning, I did wonder why I’d signed up for another Warwick 4am project, but I’m so glad I did. I regularly visit Charlecote Park with my family as it’s our nearest National Trust house and the lovely cream teas might just have something to do with it too. But I’d never seen it at night, so I was really pleased when I found out that the latest 4am outing was going to be there. We were blessed with a dry night and an almost full moon, ideal conditions though slightly chilly (it did take me a couple of hours to thaw out properly afterwards). And we got to see Charlecote from a whole new angle – the roof of the gatehouse. Here are my favourites from the session. Thank you to Sasha Taylor and Nivi Morales for organising as usual, and a big thank you to Lisa from the National Trust for getting up ridiculously early so she could let us in and look after us.
