On a cold day in March { engagement photography in Coventry }

I’ve just been sorting out Gemma and Steven’s wedding photography plan so it reminded me to post one of my fave shots from their pre-wedding shoot a few weeks ago in Coventry.  I’m looking forward to their Warwick House wedding in Southam in the summer.:-)Engagement photoshoot on a cold March day in Coventry | Engagement and wedding photography in Coventry

Card making with Rachel Booth, the Creative Stamper

I met Rachel at a Ladies’ Pamper Evening a couple of months back.  We had stalls next to one another so we got chatting and I discovered she ran card making classes at our local village hall.  Right up my street as I used to make cards years ago and even ran my own card making supplies business at one time, so the other Thursday I popped along to join in.  It was a lovely friendly group, I learnt a lot and for a bargain £7.50 we made 3 cards AND got a cup of tea and a homemade cupcake too.  You can see my efforts at reproducing Rachel’s designs below.  If you’re interested in joining in, the group meets at Hatton Park Village Hall  most Thursdays from 9.30am to 11am.  The next class is on Thursday 19th April 2012, bur please contact Rachel before you go as she needs to bring along enough materials for everyone – all the details are on her Creative Stamper website.

Herons and hares – an afternoon at Charlecote { Warwickshire landscape photography }

Having a lovely Easter holiday spending time with my nearest and dearest.  Today we went to Charlecote Park to see the heronry, which was fascinating and also gave me chance to photograph the house from an angle we don’t normally get to see.  The weather forecast said sunshine with intermittent heavy showers and they were right, but we managed to time it so that we were in the tearoom when the downpour hit.  And in between visiting the heronry and the tearoom we got treated to a bunch of hares running across the field over the River Avon.  What with that and the deer plus the red velvet mite that Z spotted on the path on the way back, we saw more wildlife than we did when we went to a nature reserve last week.  Happy days:-)
