I’ve been an admirer of US photographer Jessica Claire‘s work for a number of years so when I heard she was coming to England to present a seminar at Aspire Photography Training, I signed up straight away. Jessica’s been described as one of the Top Wedding Photographers in the World by American Photo Magazine, as well as one of the Top Ten Most Influential Photographers of the Decade by Photo District News so I was looking forward to learning loads.
And I wasn’t disappointed. It was fascinating to watch her work and she had some great tips to pass on regarding marketing, branding and post-processing as well as photography. Aspire’s Rachel Hayton did a sterling job of styling the shoot as usual – a red, white and blue theme with lots of Union Jacks and vintage details, including an original Mini Cooper – the perfect British look for Royal Wedding year.
I have loads of notes to type up and a memory card full of images, so I’ve just picked my favourite photograph of the day to share with you now – more pics after Easter when I’ve had chance to go through them all. In the meantime, thanks to Jessica and everyone at Aspire for a great day.
Really looking forward to part two, loving the image. What an inspiring day. I love the blog post and the fact that it is live already!
Thanks Catherine – and thanks for inviting Jessica over to the UK. As you say, it was an inspiring day. Loads of things to think about!
fantastic image look forward to hearing all about it next week
